Contest-Free-Verse 4:55pmthis frozen heart of mine  hurt so many times  frozen over with iccicles freezing my soul  freezing into my soul  i cant feel it anymore  stabbing the page  watching ink bleed  helplessly  
trying to find an answer  as the mixed up conjugated  convulated words  come seeping though this  empty desert of a  
wasteland know as my  head  as I try to see  the image inside of me  come to life on the page  i yell out  i scream and shot  shout it out  but not too loudly  cause i dont want to wake  these, other things  for if i think Contest-Free-Verse 4:55pm

Mommy should have killed meMommy held me down  I swear she wanted me to drown  I tell her I love her  She just wants me to suffer   
So I hold myself back  My sight goes black  As the beatings rain down  I hear no sound   
For I am a boy, and she is a girl  She pushes harder, my toes and fingers curl   
A boy doesn’t fight a lady.   
She kicks me outside  I wrap my arms around myself to save my own hide  My face is pushed into dirt  She doesn’t care how much I hurt   
Feels like swallowing a desert  
 
I try to cry  And I beg ‘why’ &nbs Mommy should have killed me

ICICLE vs. DESERTBoys and girls,  Our gender meant our separation.  ..As a girl,  I know, real well, how does it felt to be told different than boys.   
Yes, yes. Boys are like the deserts.  While girls, are the icicles..  Two different things lined up together,  It's obviously no match,  But somehow we hang out together.   
Boys seems to need girls,  To cool their head off while their high in temper.  Somehow I bet they're wondering how could we stand them,  But hey, life's filled with misery, don't you think?  
 
Girls, on the other hand, always need boys to melt them down. &nbs ICICLE vs. DESERT

Ok, Heres the info. I want to see some poems, anything is good. It doesn't have to ryhme, it can be haiku (but if it is it needs to be more than one) (atleast 3, but no more than 15), It can be any type of poem!

Deadline to join is June 11th, Deadline to enter your stuff is June 20th..

1st. Prize winner, 3 month sub, Entry in my journal for 2 months, and a surprise gift...

2nd Prize winner, 2 month sub, Entry in my journal for 1 Month, and a little gift.

3rd Prize winner,1 Month Sub, Entry in my journal for 2 Weeks, and a small gift.

The theme will be on these three key words... 1.Desert. 2.Iccicle. 3.Gender.
